We didn’t know exactly how this would begin; just that it had to.

A Day in Our Heads started with a feeling. That tight, quiet kind of loneliness that comes when you’re sitting in a crowded room and still feel invisible. The kind that makes you think, maybe no one else feels this way. We wanted to create something that could cut through that silence; not with advice, or statistics, or picture-perfect mental health posts, but with honesty.

This is a space for all the thoughts we’re usually scared to say out loud. For the kids who show up smiling and leave school exhausted. For the ones who are “doing fine” on the outside but fighting invisible battles every day. For the ones who journal just to feel heard; or don’t even know where to start.

That’s what this is: a start.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing anonymous, diary-style stories written by teens about their mental health journeys; not polished or tied up in neat little bows, but raw and real. Some will be heavy. Some will be healing. All of them will be honest.

So if you're here, welcome. Whether you're reading, writing, or just passing through; you belong. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for caring. Thank you for believing that our thoughts deserve space, too.

We’re just getting started.

The A Day in Our Heads Team
